Are you confused or unsure of the legalities surrounding conveyancing, perhaps you’re a first -time buyer and need advice? Or maybe you need sound legal advice on re-mortgaging. At P.A. Duffy & Co. our team of experts can offer you a range of services and make your experience with whatever you’re dealing with smoother and eliminate the stress in the process.
Often, many new time buyers get caught up in the excitement of buying their first home. However, our advice to you is to make a list of all the defects in your property, this can range from the doors not closing to a crack in the countertop. It is very important to do this as it will be much more difficult to get these issues sorted later. The best practice would be to get these problems addressed before contracts are signed.
However, we do appreciate that this may be difficult as some new builds will not be furnished until after contracts are exchanged. Therefore, check if the snags are covered in your contract and discuss the list you made with your builder at an early stage. Once the list has been handed over to the builder/developer, they should complete all of the listed things.
