Niamh Curran

Niamh Curran is a Legal Executive in the Human Rights team at P.A. Duffy & Co Solicitors.

Niamh joined the firm in September 2025, having previously completed a 100-hour placement during the final year of her undergraduate studies. She graduated with honours from Queen's University Belfast in 2025 and is currently undertaking a Master's degree in International Human Rights Law alongside her role at the firm.

Throughout her academic career, Niamh demonstrated a strong commitment to both legal studies and wider societal issues. She served on the Artificial Intelligence in Assessment Committee at Queen's University Belfast, contributing to discussions surrounding the ethical use of AI in higher education. She also successfully completed the InnovateHer programme, a leadership initiative designed to empower young women through innovation, entrepreneurship and professional development.

In 2024, Niamh attended a summer programme at Belmont University, Nashville, where she explored issues relating to social justice, urban development and access to healthcare. In recognition of her participation in both the Belmont programme and InnovateHer, she was awarded the Future-Ready Award.

As part of the Human Rights team, Niamh works closely with clients across a range of complex and high-profile litigation matters. She plays an important role in client liaison and case management, supporting several significant actions, including the UK Covid-19 Inquiry and the Ladies with Letters campaign. Her approachable manner, attention to detail and commitment to achieving positive outcomes for clients make her a valued member of the team.
